Privacy Policy

Version 3.1 · Effective 18 September 2026 · Last updated 18 September 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how DQCLabs (“we”, “us”) collects, uses and shares information when you use LovePicto: Couple Photo Maker on iOS and Android and the website lovepicto.web.app (together, “LovePicto”). We are the controller of the personal data described here. Questions can be sent to us at any time — see Contact.

In short. Your photos are edited on your device and are not uploaded to our servers. You can browse, create and export without an account. To run the app, show ads and improve LovePicto, we and our service providers collect limited information such as an app identifier, usage and diagnostic data, advertising data and, if you choose, account and purchase information. We do not sell your personal information.

1. Information we collect

We collect only what LovePicto needs to work, to be supported by ads, and to improve. Depending on how you use the app, this includes:

CategoryExamplesWhy
App and device information A random identifier created by the app when it is first installed; platform, app version, app language, the region and time zone set on your device, whether notifications are allowed, and the number of projects you have made (a count only) Operating and supporting the app, release management, preventing abuse
Usage information Features and templates you open, exports completed, searches in the template catalogue, and similar in-app activity Understanding how the app is used and improving it
Diagnostics Crash reports, error information and performance data Finding and fixing problems
Advertising information Advertising identifiers where available, ad interactions, consent choices, IP address and device information processed by our ad provider Showing, measuring and, where permitted, personalising ads
Account information (optional) Email address, display name, sign-in provider details, favourite templates Providing your account and syncing favourites
Purchase information Subscription product, transaction details, status, renewal and expiry dates, price, currency and store country Verifying and providing Premium, handling support and refunds
Notification information A push notification token, platform and language Sending notifications you have allowed
Feedback you send Your star rating and comment, with app version, platform and language Reading and acting on your feedback

We do not collect your photos, your exported images, or the text you write in your projects, such as captions, names and story details.

2. Photos, camera and on-device processing

LovePicto asks for access to your photo library so you can choose photos for templates and save your creations, and to your camera for taking photos and for the Love Booth. You can decline; only the feature that needs the permission will be unavailable.

Your photos are processed on your device and are not uploaded to LovePicto’s servers. Editing, collages, the Love Booth, Couple Timeline and exports all happen locally, and your projects are stored only on your device. If you share an export, it goes to the app you choose and that app’s privacy policy applies.

Smart Fit and face detection

To position photos and check Love Booth shots, LovePicto uses Google ML Kit’s face detection and selfie segmentation on your device. These features find where a face or person is in an image so the photo can be framed or cut out. The results stay on your device and may be saved as part of your project there.

3. Accounts

You can use LovePicto without an account. An account is optional and lets you sync your favourite templates and link a subscription to your account. You can sign up with an email address and password, with Google, or — on iOS — with Apple.

We store your email address, a display name if one is available or you set one, your favourite templates and your app language. When you sign in with Google or Apple we receive the basic profile information that provider shares for sign-in, such as your name, email address (Apple’s Hide My Email is supported) and, for Google, a link to your profile picture, which LovePicto does not display. For Sign in with Apple we also keep a token that lets us revoke LovePicto’s access when you delete your account.

When you sign in, the app identifier described in section 1 is linked to your account.

Deleting your account: in the app go to Profile → Settings → Account → Delete account, or follow the steps on our account deletion page. See section 8 for what is deleted.

4. Advertising and consent

LovePicto is free and supported by ads served by Google AdMob. Google may collect and use information such as advertising identifiers (where available), IP address, device and app information and ad interactions to deliver, measure and, where permitted, personalise ads, and to prevent fraud. A Premium subscription removes banner, native, interstitial and app-open ads. Optional rewarded ads remain available if you choose to watch one.

Consent

Where the law requires it, such as in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, we use Google’s consent management tool to ask for your choices about advertising. Depending on your choices, Google may serve personalised, non-personalised or limited ads. Where this option is offered, you can review or change your choices at any time in Profile → Settings → Ad privacy.

iOS: App Tracking Transparency

On iOS, after Google’s consent flow has completed, LovePicto asks for permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework before it starts requesting ads that may use tracking. If you allow tracking, Google AdMob may access your device’s Advertising Identifier (IDFA) to deliver, measure and, where permitted, personalise ads. If you ask the app not to track, LovePicto still works and ads may still be shown without access to the IDFA, using other information such as device and app information and approximate location derived from your IP address. Apple controls whether the system prompt can be shown again.

Android: Advertising ID

On Android, Google AdMob and Google Analytics for Firebase may use your device’s Advertising ID. You can reset or delete it in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads, or Settings → Privacy → Ads on some devices).

5. Analytics, crash reporting and notifications

We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how LovePicto is used — for example which features and templates people open and finish — and Firebase Crashlytics to receive crash and error reports. These services collect usage events, device and app information and approximate location derived from IP address. They are associated with the app’s random identifier or, if you are signed in, your account identifier. They do not include your photos, your exports, your email address or the text you write in your projects. Search terms you enter in the template catalogue are collected in a shortened, normalised form so we can learn which designs people are looking for.

We also keep a limited record of key in-app events (such as the app being opened, a template being used, an export completed or a subscription started), linked to the app identifier and, if you are signed in, your account, to support you and operate the service.

Notifications

LovePicto may ask for permission to send notifications after you start using the app. If you allow it, we store a push notification token with your platform and language, linked to the app identifier and, if you are signed in, your account, and deliver messages through Firebase Cloud Messaging. You can turn off New templates notifications in the app, which removes the token from our systems, or turn off notifications in your device settings at any time. Reminders you set up are scheduled on your device and are not sent to our servers.

6. Subscriptions and purchases

LovePicto Premium is an auto-renewing subscription sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and no account is required to buy it. Payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google — we never receive your card, bank or billing details.

To confirm that a purchase is genuine and to provide Premium, the app sends the store’s transaction information to our server, which verifies it with Apple or Google. We keep purchase records — such as the product, transaction identifiers, subscription status, renewal and expiry dates, price, currency and store country — linked to your account or, if you are not signed in, to the app identifier. Apple and Google also inform us when a subscription renews, is cancelled or is refunded. The app also gives the store an app-generated identifier at purchase so a subscription can be matched to the right user.

You can use Restore Purchases on the Premium screen to restore an active subscription. Manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings.

7. Third-party services

We share information only with the providers below, to the extent needed for the purposes described in this policy, or where required by law. We do not sell your personal information.
